Apple Crumb Pie Recipe

Ingredients

  • Serving Size : 6
  • 5 cups tart apples
  • 9 inch pie shell
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 6 tablespoons butter

Method

  1. Pare apples, core and cut into eights.
  2. Arrange in pie shell.
  3. Mix 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle over apples.
  4. Mix 1/3 cup sugar with flour, cut in butter until crumbly(with pastry blender) Sprinkle over apples.
  5. Bake at 400 F for 35-40 minutes, or until done.
  6. If pie browns too quickly, cover edge with foil.
  7. Cool.
  8. Pass the whipped cream!.
