Ingredients
SERVES 4.
- 1 pound 80/20 ground beef
- 1/4 pound ground Italian sausage
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 4 slices sugar-free bacon, cooked and chopped
- 1/4 cup chopped white onion
- 1/4 cup chopped pickle jalapenos
- 1/2 cup low-carb, sugar-free barbecue sauce
Method
- In a large bowl, mix ground beef, sausage, and egg until fully combined
- Mix in all remaining ingredients except barbecue sauce
- Form into eight meatballs
- Place meatballs into the air fryer basket
- Adjust the temperature to 400°F and set the timer for 14 minutes
- Turn the meatballs halfway through the cooking time
- When done, meatballs should be browned on the outside and have an internal temperature of at least 180°F
- Remove meatballs from fryer and toss in barbecue sauce
- Serve warm
