Ingredients
Makes 8 servings
- 1 medium head green cabbage, shredded
- 1 small yellow onion, minced
- 1/2 medium green bell pepper, minced
- ¾ cup sugar
- ¾ cup cider vinegar ¾ cup grapeseed oil
- 1 teaspoon celery seeds
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 teaspoon salt
Method
- In a large bowl, combine the cabbage, onion and bell pepper and set aside
- In a small saucepan combine the sugar, vinegar, oil, celery seeds, mustard and salt and cook over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves and the dressing is hot
- Pour the hot dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss to combine
- Cover and refrigerate at least 30 minutes before serving
