Buttermilk And Yeast Rolls Recipe

Ingredients

Serving Size : 6

  • 1 Quart Buttermilk – warmed
  • 1 Cup Shortening
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 2 Packages Yeast
  • 1/2 Cup Warm Water
  • flour
  • 1/2 Cup Flour
  • 2 Teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda

Method

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water.
  2. Mix buttermilk, shortening, sugar and yeast.
  3. Add enough flour to make a thick batter.
  4. Set to rise double in size.
  5. Mix 1/2 cup flour, baking powder, salt and soda.
  6. Add to batter.
  7. Add enough flour to make dough handle until not sticky.
