Ingredients
Makes 2 to 3 servings
- 3 cups hot brewed Thai tea (cha Thai) or black tea
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar, or to taste
- 3 cardamom pods, crushed, or 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1 cup plain or vanilla soy milk or other dairy-free milk
Method
- In a large saucepan, combine the tea, sugar and cardamom over medium-high heat
- Simmer, stirring, until the sugar is dissolved
- Remove from the heat and stir in the soy milk
- Strain out cardamom pods, if using
- Pour the tea into a pitcher and refrigerate until chilled, about 1 hour
- Serve over ice in tall glasses
