Tea Muffins Recipe

Ingredients

Serving Size : 1

  • 1 3/4 cups sifted flour
  • 1 3/4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 5 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 Egg – well beaten
  • 3/4 cup milk

Method

  1. Sift flour once, measure, add baking powder and salt, and sift again.
  2. Cream butter, add sugar, and cream together thoroughly.
  3. Add egg, then flour alternately with milk, a small amount at a time.
  4. Beat after each addition until smooth.
  5. Bake in greased muffin pans in hot oven (450 degrees) 20 minutes.
  6. Makes 18 small muffins.
