Ingredients
- Serving Size : 3
- 3 large lettuce leaves
- 1 1/2 pounds fresh green peas – shelled
- 2 tablespoons thinly sliced green onions – with tops
- 1/8 teaspoon dried basil leaves – crushed
- 1 tablespoon margarine or butter – softened
Method
- Rinse lettuce leaves; shake off excess water.
- Line 1 1/2 quart saucepan with lettuce.
- Spoon peas onto lettuce.
- Sprinkle with onions and basil; dot with margarine.
- Cover and cook over low heat until peas are done, about 18 minutes.
- Discard lettuce.
- Makes 3 to 4 servings.
