Sweet N Salty Cashew Butter Shake Recipe
Ingredients
Makes 1 SMOOTHIE
Calories 468 Protein 29 g Carbohydrates 65 g Fat 19 g Fiber 7 g Sugar 37 g Sodium 150 mg.:
- 1 banana, cut into chunks and frozen
- 1 cup 2% Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 2 tablespoons raw cashews
- 1 tablespoon raw oatmeal
- 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 date, soaked in water for 15 minutes to soften, or 1 teaspoon (4 g) stevia in the raw
- pinch of sea salt
- handful of ice cubes (if desired).
Method
- Add all of the ingredients to a high-powered blender
- Blend until smooth, 1 to 2 minutes
- Begin at the lowest speed and gradually increase to the highest
- Start with a water bottle (at least 24 ounces) with a wide mouth so you can easily add and discard fruits and veggies
- Fill the bottle with water, then place as much fruit or herbs in the water as you like, leaving room :For the m to move around in the jug
- Let the fruits/veggies infuse the water for at least 30 minutes and up to 1 hour before drinking
- I like to allow this to happen at room temperature, especially with citrus fruits
- If I want a cold drink, I’ll add ice afterward
- Sip the water throughout the day, and refill the bottle as needed
- After 24 to 36 hours, discard the fruit
