Ingredients
- 1 pound (900 g) bratwurst, cut in 1-inch (2.5 cm) pieces
- 2 tbsps (28 ml) oil
- 1 cup (160 g) chopped onions
- ¼ cup (60 g) brown sugar
- 2 tsps (11 g) cornstarch
- ¼ cup (60 ml) cider vinegar
- ¼ cup (44 g) mustard
- 4 tsps (20 g) horseradish
Method
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown meat in oil and remove, sauteing onions in remaining oil
- Drain oil
- Transfer to slow cooker
- Combine remaining ingredients and add to cooker
- Cook on low for 3 hours
- Yield: 16 servings
- Per serving: 51 g water; 145 calories (60% from fat, 24% from protein, 17% from carb)
