  • 6 ounces pickled herring pieces, drained and flaked
  • 1/2 cup baby spinach
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chives, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 red onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons key lime juice, freshly squeezed
  • sea salt and ground black pepper, to taste

Method

  1. In a salad bowl, combine the herring pieces with spinach, basil leaves, chives, garlic, bell pepper, and red onion.
