Spiced Chickpeas Indian Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 tin of drained chickpeas
  • 2tblsps olive oil
  • 2tblsps lemon juice
  • 1tsp brown sugar
  • 2tsp ground cumin
  • 2tsp ground coriander
  • 1tsp garam masala
  • black pepper.
  • 1tsp cayenne pepper Salt to taste

Method

  1. Heat the oven to 400°F (200°C) Line a baking sheet with foil
  2. Mix the spices in a bowl until they are well combined and then spread onto the baking sheet
  3. Place the chickpeas on the spice mixture in a single layer and coat with spices
  4. Place in the oven for about 20-25 minutes turning from time to time
  5. The chickpeas will darken and reduce in size
  6. Allow the chickpeas to cool before serving and serve as a nibble with drinks
