Ingredients
- 1 pound (900 g) extra-lean ground beef, browned
- 1½ cups (240 g) chopped onions
- 1½ cups (225 g) chopped green bell pepper
- 1 can (28 ounces, or 785 g) no-salt-added diced tomatoes
- 1 cup (245 g) no-salt-added tomato sauce
- 1½ cups (355 ml) water
- 2 tsps Worcestershire sauce
- 1½ cups (278 g) uncooked long-grain rice
Method
- Combine all ingredients in slow cooker
- Cover and cook on low 8 to 10 hours or on high 6 hours
- Yield: 8 servings
- Per serving: 410 g water; 438 calories (41% from fat, 23% from protein, 35% from carb)
