Southern Stuffed Pork Chops Slow Cooker Recipe

Ingredients

  • pork loin chops, 1-inch (2 5 cm) thick
  • 150 g dry corn bread stuffing mix
  • 2 tbsps (28 ml) low-salt chicken broth
  • 1/3 cup (80 ml) orange juice
  • 1 tbsp (7 g) finely chopped pecans
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) light corn syrup
  • ½ teaspoon grated orange peel

Method

  1. With a sharp knife cut a horizontal slit in side of each chop, forming a pocket for stuffing
  2. Combine stuffing with remaining ingredients
  3. Fill pockets with stuffing
  4. Place on metal rack in slow cooker
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours
  6. Uncover and brush with sauce
  7. Cook on high for 15 to 20 minutes
  8. Yield: 4 servings
  9. Per serving: 106 g water; 295 calories (20% from fat, 32% from protein, 48% from carb)
