Ingredients
- Serving Size : 16
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup nuts – chopped
- 1 tablespoon butter – melted
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar – packed
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 egg
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup dairy sour cream
- 1 1/2 cups rhubarb – cut in 1″ pieces
Method
- Mix first 4 ingredients until crumbly; set aside.
- Cream together brown sugar, shortening and egg.
- Stir together flour, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream.
- Stir in rhubarb.
- Turn into greased and floured 9×13-inch pan.
- Sprinkle with reserved topping.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes, or until it tests done.
- Cut into squares, and serve warm or cold.
- Makes 16 to 20 servings.
