Smoking Salmon Pizza Seafood Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 can salmon — (14-3/4 oz.)
  • — drained and flaked
  • 1 prepared pizza crust or Italian bread
  • — shell (12 inches or 16 oz.)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic — minced
  • 3 ounces cream cheese — cut into chunks
  • 1/3 cup very thin slices red onion
  • 2 cups shredded smoked Swiss or
  • — mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
  • 1 tablespoon drained bottled capers (optional)

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 400 F
  2. Place pizza crust on cookie sheet
  3. Combine oil and garlic; brush evenly over pizza crust
  4. Arrange salmon and cream cheese over pizza; top with red onion, cheese, dill and, if desired, capers
  5. Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until edges of crust are crisp and cheese is melted
  6. Cut into wedges
  7. Makes 4 main dishes or 12 appetizer servings
