Ingredients
Serve with pasta
- 1½ cups (240 g) sliced onions
- 3/4 pound (1.3 kg) chicken thighs, skin removed
- ½ teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 can (14 ounces, or 400 g) no-salt-added stewed tomatoes
- 1 cup (245 g) no-salt-added tomato sauce
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- ½ teaspoon oregano
- ½ teaspoon basil
- bay leaf
- ½ cup (120 ml) dry white wine
Method
- Place onions in bottom of slow cooker
- Lay chicken over onions
- Combine remaining ingredients and pour over chicken
- Cover and cook on low 6 to 6½ hours
- Remove bay leaf before serving
- Yield: 5 servings
- Per serving: 383 g water; 401 calories (26% from fat, 59% from protein, 15% from carb)
