Wassail Rum Punch Slow Cooker

Ingredients

  • 1 gallon (3 8 L)
  • 2 apples
  • oranges
  • 1 cup (145 g) raisins
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) rum extract
  • ½ cup (120 ml) rum
  • 2 tbsps (12 g) allspice
  • 950 ml brewed tea

Method

  1. Sugar, to taste
  2. Cinnamon sticks
  3. The night before you’d like to serve the punch, slice the oranges and cut apples into quarters
  4. Place into a large bowl with raisins and then add the rum extract, rum, and allspice
  5. Blend together
  6. Cover; let stand in the refrigerator overnight
  7. The next day, place fruit-rum mixture in slow cooker at least 1 hour before serving
  8. Add in the tea and sugar to taste
  9. Then add the cinnamon sticks
  10. Serve piping hot
  11. Yield: 24 servings
  12. Per serving: 189 g water; 249 calories (1% from fat, 2% from protein, 97% from carb)
