Wassail Rum Punch Slow Cooker
Ingredients
- 1 gallon (3 8 L)
- 2 apples
- oranges
- 1 cup (145 g) raisins
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) rum extract
- ½ cup (120 ml) rum
- 2 tbsps (12 g) allspice
- 950 ml brewed tea
Method
- Sugar, to taste
- Cinnamon sticks
- The night before you’d like to serve the punch, slice the oranges and cut apples into quarters
- Place into a large bowl with raisins and then add the rum extract, rum, and allspice
- Blend together
- Cover; let stand in the refrigerator overnight
- The next day, place fruit-rum mixture in slow cooker at least 1 hour before serving
- Add in the tea and sugar to taste
- Then add the cinnamon sticks
- Serve piping hot
- Yield: 24 servings
- Per serving: 189 g water; 249 calories (1% from fat, 2% from protein, 97% from carb)
