Roasted Cauliflower Recipe
Ingredients
Makes 3 Generous Servings
This Is Vegan.
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (possibly more)
- 1 large cauliflower, cored and cut into 1-inch pieces
- ¼ teaspoon salt, or to taste
Method
- Adjust the oven rack to the center position and preheat the oven to 425°f
- Line a baking tray with foil, and drizzle it with the olive oil
- Arrange the cauliflower pieces on the tray and shake them into a single layer
- Put the tray in the oven and roast the cauliflower for 10 minutes
- Shake the tray and/or use tongs to redistribute the cauliflower so that more surfaces can come into contact with the hot oil
- This will crisp everything up nicely
- Roast for another 5 minutes, or until a taste test tells you the cauliflower is cooked to your liking
- It will continue to cook a bit more after it comes out of the oven
- Remove the tray from the oven, and let the cauliflower cool for about 10 minutes on the tray
- Season with the salt, and serve hot, warm, or at room temperature
