Ingredients
Servings : 4-6 dishes.
- 3 tablespoons flax seeds, ground
- 6 tablespoons water
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 6 tablespoons olive oil
- 3/4 cup red wine
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt
Method
- In a bowl, mix the ground flax seeds with water and let it soak for 5 minutes
- Stir in the oil and sugar and mix well until combined
- In another bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, cocoa and salt
- Incorporate the dry ingredients into the oil mixture, alternating it with red wine
- Grease a 9-inch round pan and pour in the batter
- Bake in the preheated oven at 350F for 30-40 minutes
- Let cool in the pan then transfer to a serving plate and sprinkle with powdered sugar
