Red Beans And Lentils Indian Recipe

Ingredients

  • Serves: 10
  • 3 cups red beans, cooked
  • 1 cup black lentils, rinsed and drained
  • 1/4 tsp ground mustard
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 3 tsp ground cumin
  • 2 tbsp ginger, grated
  • 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • 5 cups water
  • For serving:
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 2 tsp ginger, grated
  • 2 tsp tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup cashew creamer
  • salt

Method

  1. Add all ingredients except serving ingredients into the slow cooker and stir well.
  2. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours.
  3. Add all serving ingredients and stir well.
  4. Serve with rice and enjoy.
