Ingredients
Makes 1 loaf
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon dried marjoram
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 1/4 cups plain soy milk
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Method
- Preheat the oven to 350°F
- Lightly oil a 9-inch loaf pan and set aside
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, basil, thyme, marjoram, salt and pepper, stirring to blend
- Pour in the soy milk and oil and combine swiftly until well blended
- Transfer the dough to the prepared pan
- Bake until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 40 minutes
- Cool 20 minutes on wire rack before slicing
