Quick Herb Bread Recipe

Ingredients

Makes 1 loaf

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried marjoram
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 1/4 cups plain soy milk
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F
  2. Lightly oil a 9-inch loaf pan and set aside
  3. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, basil, thyme, marjoram, salt and pepper, stirring to blend
  4. Pour in the soy milk and oil and combine swiftly until well blended
  5. Transfer the dough to the prepared pan
  6. Bake until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 40 minutes
  7. Cool 20 minutes on wire rack before slicing
