Ingredients
- 4 qts. water
- 1 1/2 to 2 lbs. piece of meat or shank
- 1 lb. chourico
- 2 lbs. chopped kale
- 2 c. diced potatoes
- 1 can white kidney beans
- salt to taste.
Method
- Cook meat and chourico with water until almost done
- Add more water to cover meat and add all the vegetables and cook until vegetables are about ready and add beans
- Cook for a short time; longer to blend
- Season to taste
- Alphabet or elbow macaroni may be used in place of beans
