Mexican Dip Slow Cooker Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pound (900 g) lean ground beef
  • 1 cup (160 g) chopped onion
  • 476 g refried beans
  • 1½ cups (360 ml) picante sauce
  • dash hot pepper sauce
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne

Method

  1. Cook meat and onion in a skillet over medium heat until meat loses pink color
  2. Add other ingredients to the skillet
  3. Transfer to slow cooker and cook on low at least 1 hour to allow flavors to blend
  4. Serve from cooker with corn chips for dipping
  5. Yield: 32 servings
  6. Per serving: 45 g water; 87 calories (54% from fat, 30% from protein, 16% from carb)
