Ingredients
- 1 pound (900 g) lean ground beef
- 1 cup (160 g) chopped onion
- 476 g refried beans
- 1½ cups (360 ml) picante sauce
- dash hot pepper sauce
- 1 tsp cumin
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne
Method
- Cook meat and onion in a skillet over medium heat until meat loses pink color
- Add other ingredients to the skillet
- Transfer to slow cooker and cook on low at least 1 hour to allow flavors to blend
- Serve from cooker with corn chips for dipping
- Yield: 32 servings
- Per serving: 45 g water; 87 calories (54% from fat, 30% from protein, 16% from carb)
