Ingredients
- 2 medium potatoes, cubed
- 1 cup (130 g) thinly sliced carrots
- ¼ cup (60 ml) egg substitute
- ¼ cup (25 g) cracker crumbs
- ¼ cup (70 g) chili sauce
- ¼ cup (40 g) finely chopped onion
- ¼ teaspoon marjoram
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 pound (455 g) extra-lean ground beef
Method
- Place potatoes and carrots in slow cooker
- Combine egg substitute, cracker crumbs, chili sauce, onion, marjoram, and pepper
- Add ground beef and mix well
- Shape into a loaf slightly smaller in diameter than the cooker
- Place on top of vegetables, not touching sides of cooker
- Cover and cook on low 9 to 10 hours
- Yield: 6 servings
- Per serving: 390 g water; 478 calories (26% from fat, 19% from protein, 54% from carb)
