Mango Pudding Recipe

Ingredients

  • Serving Size : 8
  • 1/4 ounce agar agar
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 cup warm water
  • 1/4 cup evaporated milk
  • 4 cup water
  • marachino cherries
  • 1 lg. mango

Method

  1. Soak agar stick in a medium bowl with 2 cup warm water 30 minutes
  2. Transfer agar agar and water to a lg saucepan
  3. Add 4 cup water
  4. Bring to a boil over medium heat and cook until agar agar is completely dissolved.
  5. Peel mango and chop into small pieces.
  6. Remove saucepan from heat and add sugar, milk and chopped mango.
  7. Stir until sugar is totally dissolved.
  8. Pour into a 12×8 cake pan.
  9. Let stand until cool.
  10. Refrig until pudding is firm, about 15 min Cut into diamond shapes
  11. Garnish with maraschino cherries.
  12. Serve chilled.
  13. Makes 6-8 servings.
  14. VARIATION: Mandarin Orange Pudding: Substitute 1 segmented peeled mandarin orange for the mango pieces.
