Ingredients
- 2 cups cubed cooked chicken or
- turkey
- 3/4 cup uncooked regular long grain
- rice
- 1/4 cup sliced green onions (with tops)
- 1 3/4 cups chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon margarine
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup seedless grape halves
- 2 tablespoons chopped pecans
Method
- Heat all ingredients except grape halves and pecans to boiling in 2-quart saucepan, stirring once or twice; reduce heat.
- Cover and simmer 14 minutes.
- Do not lift cover or stir.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in grape halves and pecans, fluffing rice lightly with fork.
- Cover and let steam 5 to 10 minutes.
- SERVINGS (ABOUT 1-1/4 CUP EACH).
