Ingredients
- 3-4 lb. roast
- 8 sm. potatoes
- 1 tsp. garlic salt
- 1 tsp. ground black pepper
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. red or white wine
- 1 onion, sliced
- parsley, to taste.
- 1 bay leaf
- 6 whole cloves
- 6 whole pepper
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1 block margarine (1/2 c.)
Method
- Make a marinating sauce with the wine, garlic salt, pepper (ground) and salt
- Place meat in this sauce for 3-4 hours
- Place meat in roast pan with whole potatoes, cover meat with 1 block of margarine
- Roast until brown
- Remove potatoes and add slices of onion and the rest of the spices
- Pour marinate sauce over meat
- Add 1-2 cups of water if needed
- Salt to taste
- When meat is almost done place potatoes back into pan and cook until potatoes and meat are done
