Method
- Put the nuts or seeds in a food processor or high-powered blender and process until they are ground into a flour
- If the flour starts to look oily or clump at all, stop the blender or food processor immediately, or you will end up with nut or seed butter
- Sift out the larger pieces of nuts or seeds and process again until the flour is uniform
To Use.Replace the almond flour called for in a recipe with an equal amount of homemade nut or seed flour. To replace coconut flour, use 3 times as much nut or seed flour, adding more if the dough/batter still looks too wet.
- Store in a tightly lidded container away from heat and light for up to a week, refrigerate for up to 2 weeks, or freeze for up to a month
