Kahlua Fantasy Chocolate Cheesecake Recipe

Ingredients

  • Serving Size : 10

chocolate crumb crust:

  • 1 1/3 cup chocolate wafer crumbs
  • 1/4 cup softened butter
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar

cheesecake:

  • 1 1/2 cup semi-sweet choc. pieces
  • 1/4 cup kahlua
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 2 lg. eggs – beaten
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 8 oz pkgs. cream cheese*

Method

  1. *Soften cream cheese, and cut in pieces.
  2. Prepare chocolate crumb crust and press firmly in a 9″ springform pan.
  3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  4. In a small saucepan, over medium heat, melt choc with Kahlua and butter
  5. Stir until smooth.
  6. Set aside.
  7. In bowl, combine eggs, sugar and salt.
  8. Add sour cream; blend well.
  9. Add cream cheese to egg mixture; beat until smooth
  10. Gradually blend in choc mixture
  11. Turn into prepared crust.
  12. Bake 35 min or until filling is barely set in center.
  13. Turn off heat, and let stand in oven for 15 min with door open.
  14. Then take out of oven and let stand at room temp.
  15. 1 hour.
  16. Refrigerate several hours or overnight
  17. You can garnish with whipped cream and choc shavings
