Italian Meat Loaf Slow Cooker Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pound (900 g) extra-lean ground beef
  • 230 g bread crumbs
  • ½ cup (123 g) low-salt spaghetti sauce
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) egg substitute
  • 1 tbsp (15 g) onion flakes
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Method

  1. Fold a 30-inch (75 cm) long piece of foil in half lengthwise
  2. Place in bottom of slow cooker with both ends hanging over the edge of cooker
  3. Spray foil with nonstick cooking spray
  4. Combine all ingredients and shape into a loaf
  5. Place on top of foil in slow cooker
  6. Cover and cook on high for 2½ to 3 hours or on low for 5 to 6 hours
  7. Yield: 8 servings
  8. Per serving: 92 g water; 399 calories (50% from fat, 27% from protein, 23% from carb)
