Ingredients
- 2 pkgs. yeast dissolved in 1/2 c. warm water, set aside
- 5 to 6 eggs
- 1 tsp. salt & lemon
- 1 1/2 sticks butter
- 1 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 8+ c. sifted flour
Method
- Heat together, stirring constantly over very low heat, the butter, sugar, eggs, milk and salt and lemon; until butter melts
- Remove from heat and stir in yeast
- Gradually add the flour until ball is formed but is still sticky
- Put in large greased bowl and let triple in size (5 to 8 hours or overnight)
