Indian Spice Rub Recipe

Ingredients

Makes about 1/2 cup

  • 1/4 cup minced onion
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons hot or mild curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne
  • 2 tablespoons canola or grapeseed oil

Method

  1. In a blender or food processor, combine all the ingredients and blend to a paste.
  2. Add a little more oil if mixture is too thick.
  3. If not using right away, cover and refrigerate until needed.
  4. Properly stored, it will keep for 3 to 4 days.
