Air Fryer Jalapeno Popper Hasselback Chicken
Ingredients
SERVES 2.
- 4 slices sugar-free bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 2 ounces full-fat cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese, divided
- 1/4 cup sliced pickle jalapenos
- 2 (6-ounce) boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Method
- In a medium bowl, place cooked bacon, then fold in cream cheese, half of the Cheddar, and the jalapeno slices
- Use a sharp knife to make slits in each of the chicken breasts about 3/4 of the way across the chicken, being careful not to cut all the way through
- Depending on the size of the chicken breast, you’ll likely have 6-8 slits per breast
- Spoon the cream cheese mixture into the slits of the chicken
- Sprinkle remaining shredded cheese over chicken breasts and place into the air fryer basket
- Adjust the temperature to 350°F and set the timer for 20 minutes
- Serve warm
