Grandmas Macaroni And Cheese Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. medium or sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 16-oz. can evaporated milk
  • 2 lbs. macaroni pasta
  • salt.
  • pepper.
  • butter or margarine.

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F
  2. Cook macaroni pasta until al dente
  3. Drain
  4. Rinse
  5. Pour into large glass casserole dish
  6. Spread grated cheese evenly over pasta
  7. The more cheese the better
  8. Sprinkle about 2 tbsp worth of small pats of butter or margarine evenly over the macaroni and cheese mixture, then pour evaporated milk over cheese and pasta
  9. Sprinkle salt and pepper over the mixture
  10. Cover casserole dish with foil
  11. Bake for about 45 minutes or until cheese and milk are bubbling and cheese is golden but not brown
