Grand Marnier Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
Makes about 1 1/2 cups
- 1 cup fresh orange juice
- 1/3 cup confectioners sugar
- 1 teaspoon finely grated orange zest
- 1/2 cup vegan margarine, cut into pieces
- 1/4 cup Grand Marnier or other orange-flavored liqueur
Method
- In a small saucepan, heat the orange juice, sugar and orange zest over low heat, stirring, for 5minutes
- Increase the heat and bring to a boil
- Whisk in the margarine pieces, one or two at a time
- When thoroughly blended, remove from heat and stir in the Grand Marnier and serve immediately
- Store leftover sauce covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days
