Fresh Tomato Bacon And Onion Fettucine Recipe

Ingredients

  • Serving Size : 2
  • 4 ounce uncooked fettuccine
  • 3 slices bacon
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup (1 medium) chopped tomato
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil or
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil leaves

Method

  1. Cook fettuccine to desired doneness as directed on package.
  2. Drain, keep warm.
  3. Meanwhile, cook bacon in medium skillet until crisp; remove bacon and drain on paper towels.
  4. Reserve 1 tbsp drippings in skillet.
  5. Add onion; cook until crisp-tender.
  6. Crumble bacon; add to onion with tomato and basil.
  7. Cook just until heated.
  8. Immediately toss with cooked fettuccine.
  9. 4 side dish servings; 2 main dish servings.
