Ingredients
- 1 (3 lb.) chicken
- salt and pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 tsp powdered marjoram
- 1/4 tsp powdered thyme
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 cup dry white wine (optional)
- 1 cup dairy sour cream
- 1 cup packaged biscuit mix
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley
- 6 Tbsps. milk
- 10 small white onions
Method
- Season the chicken with salt and pepper
- Leave for a few minutes and place in the crock pot
- Imbed the cloves gently into one onion and place all the onions with the meat
- Mix in the garlic, thyme, marjoram, bay leaf and wine
- Place lid and cook for 5 hours on low and once cooked take out the cloves and the bay leaf
- Add the sour cream and stir well
- Mix the parsley, biscuit mix and the milk together and increase to High
- Drop the dumplings gently from about 1 tsp away from the corner of the pot
- Leave covered for another 30 minutes
