Chicken Livers With Spaghetti Recipe

Ingredients

  • recipe for: Spageto Me Sikotakia Poulion Spaghetti
  • Serving Size : 6
  • 1/2 pound chicken livers
  • 4 tablespoons shortening
  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • 3 tablespoons sweet butter
  • 3/4 cup parmesan cheese – grated
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup graviera cheese – grated or
  • 3/4 cup gruyere cheese
  • pepper

Method

  1. Wash chicken livers and cut into small pieces.
  2. Place in small pot or frying pan with the shortening to brown, and cook for about 3 to 4 min Cook spaghetti as directed on the package, drain.
  3. Return to the pot and mix the spaghetti with 1/2 of the butter.
  4. Butter a baking pan.
  5. Spread 1/2 of the spaghetti in it.
  6. Sprinkle half of the Parmesan cheese on top.
  7. Put livers on the cheese, cover with remaining spaghetti, and sprinkle with the rest of the Parmesan cheese.
  8. Beat the eggs in a small bowl.
  9. Add the graviera or Gruyere cheese and pepper to taste.
  10. Pour this over the spaghetti.
  11. Melt remaining butter and drizzle over top.
  12. Bake in preheated oven at 350 F for about 20 min, or until top is nicely browned.
