Ingredients

  • 2 large sweet onions, such as Vidalia
  • ¼ cup (55 g) unsalted butter
  • 1¼ cups (285 ml) low-salt chicken broth

Method

  1. Peel onions
  2. Remove stems and root ends
  3. Place in slow cooker
  4. Pour butter and broth over onions
  5. Cook on low 12 hours
  6. Yield: 8 servings
  7. Per serving: 143 g water; 100 calories (51% from fat, 6% from protein, 43% from carb)
