Ingredients
Makes 6 to 8 servings
- 1 pound extra-firm tofu, well drained, cut into 1/4-inch slices and pressed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Method
- Preheat the oven to 350° F
- Lightly oil a baking sheet and set aside
- Cut the tofu slices into 1/4-inch strips
- In a medium bowl, gently toss the tofu strips with the oil, Cajun spice blend, salt and pepper, until well coated
- Arrange in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet and bake until firm and nicely browned, about 45 minutes, turning once with a metal spatula about halfway through
- Set aside to let them cool and firm up
- Serve at room temperature
