Cafe Gitane Avocado Toast Recipe

Ingredients

Servings : 1.

  • 1 slice of bread
  • 1/2 ripe avocado
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt, more if desired
  • 1 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • red pepper flakes
  • sea or rock salt to taste

Method

  1. Toast your slice of bread as you prefer
  2. Remove the pit from the avocado
  3. Use a big spoon to scoop out the flesh
  4. Put it in a bowl and mash it up with a fork
  5. Can be as smooth or not as you like
  6. Mix in salt to taste
  7. Spread avocado on top of your toast
  8. Drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice
  9. Add a sprinkle of pepper flakes and salt
