Ingredients
- ¼ cup (55 g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1½ cups (345 g) arborio rice
- 2 apples, washed, cored, and cubed
- 1½ teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/8 teaspoon cloves
- 1/3 cup (75 g) brown sugar
- 475 ml apple juice
- 475 ml skim milk
Method
- Spray the inside of slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray
- Pour melted butter into slow cooker
- Add the rice to the butter and stir it around to coat it
- Add the apples, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and brown sugar
- Stir in the juice and the milk
- Cover and cook on low 6 to 9 hours
- Stir before serving
- Yield: 6 servings
- Per serving: 228 g water; 269 calories (27% from fat, 7% from protein, 66% from carb)
