Black Beans Cuban-Style Recipe

Ingredients

  • Serving Size : 1
  • 2 cans (15 oz each) black beans
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon red wine vinegar

Method

  1. Chop onion and pepper; mince garlic; saute in a little of the bean liquid until soft.
  2. Add beans with remaining liquid.
  3. Add dry spices.
  4. Simmer 15-30 minutes.
  5. Add vinegar just before serving.
  6. The original version specified, um, a different saute medium.
