Ingredients
- 5-6 lb. pork roast
- 1 c. sliced onions
- salt & pepper.
- 1 sm. can stewed tomatoes (or 4-5 cut up tomatoes)
- 6-08 sm. potatoes or lg. cut halves
- carrots or 2 c. string beans.
- 1/4 c. vinegar
Method
- Brown meat on both sides
- Cover 1/2 with water, top with onions
- Simmer on top of stove or oven medium heat, 3-4 hours
- Add vegetables
- Add 1/4 cup vinegar and simmer until vegetables are tender
- Note: Thin sliced green peppers and a pound of linguica can be added to the vegetables
