Beef Burgundy Recipe

Ingredients

  • Serving Size : 1
  • 1/2 pound sliced mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 3 slices bacon – cut in pieces
  • 2 pounds beef roast – cut in 1 1/2″ cubes
  • 1 1/2 cups red wine
  • 2 beef bouillon cubes
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground thyme
  • 1 small bay leaf
  • 1/2 pound small whole onions

Method

  1. Saute mushrooms in butter, remove and saute bacon, remove bacon and add beeF
  2. Brown well, sprinkle in flour, garlic, onions, bouillon cubes, wine, sugar, salt, spices and cover.
  3. Simmer 2 hours.
  4. Add bacon and mushrooms and simmer another hour.
  5. Serve over hot rice or noodles.
