Beef And Cabbage Casserole Slow Cooker Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) olive oil
- 1 cup (160 g) chopped onion
- 1 pound (455 g) extra-lean ground beef
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- 210 g shredded cabbage
- 1 can (10 ounces, or 280 g) reduced-sodium condensed tomato soup
Method
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat
- Saute onion and then add ground beef and brown
- Season with pepper
- Layer half of cabbage in slow cooker, followed by half of meat mixture
- Repeat layers
- Pour soup over top
- Cover and cook on low 3 to 4 hours
- Yield: 4 servings
- Per serving: 233 g water; 353 calories (60% from fat, 26% from protein, 14% from carb)
Serve with garlic bread
