Ingredients

  • 1 pound (455 g) dry black-eyed peas
  • 950 ml low-salt beef broth
  • 1 cup 130 g sliced carrots
  • 1 cup (160 g) chopped onion
  • 1 pound (900 g) beef round roast, cut into 1 cubes
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Method

  1. Combine all ingredients in slow cooker
  2. Cover and cook on low 8 to 10 hours
  3. Yield: 6 servings
