Ingredients
SERVES 6.
- 1 (4-pound) chicken
- 2 teaspoons dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 teaspoons dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 medium lemon
- 2 tablespoons salted butter, melted
Method
- Rub chicken with thyme, garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, and baking powder
- Slice lemon and place four slices on top of chicken, breast side up, and secure with toothpicks
- Place remaining slices inside of the chicken
- Place entire chicken into the air fryer basket, breast side down
- Adjust the temperature to 350°F and set the timer for 60 minutes
- After 30 minutes, flip chicken so breast side is up
- When done, internal temperature should be 165°F and the skin golden and crispy
- To serve, pour melted butter over entire chicken
