Ingredients
Makes about 2 cups
- 5 ripe Roma or plum tomatoes, chopped
- 1 serrano chile, seeded and minced
- 1/4 cup chopped red onion
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh cilantro
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Method
- In a glass bowl, combine all the ingredients and mix well
- Cover and set aside for 30 minutes before serving
- If not using right away, cover and refrigerate until ready to use
- This salsa tastes best if used on the same day it is made, but properly stored, it will keep for up to 2 days
