Morning Polenta With Maple Syrup Recipe

Ingredients

Makes 4 servings

  • 4 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup yellow cornmeal
  • 2 tablespoons vegan margarine
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup

Method

  1. In a large saucepan, bring the water to a boil over high heat
  2. Add the salt and whisk in the cornmeal
  3. Reduce heat to low
  4. Cook, stirring, until the water is absorbed, about 15 minutes
  5. Turn off the heat and stir in the margarine
  6. Spoon into 4 bowls, drizzle with the maple syrup and serve
